CIRT K9 Certification

October 11

$130.00

HELLO COLLEAGUES!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN CHALLENGING THE CIRT K9 FIELD EXAM.  THERE ARE NUMEROUS REQUIREMENTS THAT MUST BE COMPLETED, IN ORDER TO TEST.  PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE FILLING OUT ANY INFORMATION.  YOU MUST, IN ADDITION TO FILLING OUT THE REGISTRATION FORM, SUBMIT ALL THE REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND FEES (THIS IS NOT A FREE EXAM), AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.  IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS HANDY, PLEASE EXIT THIS PAGE, GATHER UP THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND PAYMENT METHODS, THEN RETURN TO ENTER/SUBMIT ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND FEES TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.  WE LOOK FORWARD TO TO WORKING WITH YOU!

This is the registration process for attaining national certification as a CIRT K9 Handler and for your Canine Partner as a certified CIRT K9.  This is the field testing portion of the certification process.  Please make sure you have completed all the pre-requisites to be eligible for this certification testing.   The link to those pre-requisites is: Pre-Requisites for CIRT K9 Testing   Upon completion of Registration, Waiver of Liability, and Ticketing, you will receive a link to the AERIE online CIRT K9 Written Examination.  This written exam must be successfully completed not later than 14 days prior to arriving at the field testing location.  Please bring your (successful) written exam certificate to the field test event.

For those who are going to be testing for recertification, we still request you submit the required documents listed below, unless you are testing the same K9 and submitted your documents last year. If you and this K9 partner tested last year, simply enter “Tested in 2023” in the comment section of the registration.  The written exam, however, has not been updated this year, so those re-certifying will be exempt from taking the written exam.  If your agency is paying for your testing (other than using your personally issued credit card), please ask them to contact Dion Petaros at 214-558-9160 for arrangements. Thanks for choosing AERIE (again) for your CIRT K9 certification needs!

Also, after completing the registration and ticketing (Fee) process, you will receive and email directing you to execute the required Waiver of Liability/Assumption of Risk document.  Please follow the link in that email to complete this document.

To stipulate compliance with the pre-requisites, please upload the following documents (copies of your Agency or State training records are acceptable) with this registration process:
