This Summer, we have seen an increase in the number of dangerous bear encounters. This article discusses some “experts” weighing the use of bear spray vs firearms during these encounters. There are good points made about the use of bear spray, but no consideration of having both tools available. We do agree that the best “defense” is is avoiding bear encounters. Situational awareness is your best defense!
