SEARCH & RESCUE AWARENESS LEVEL CERTIFICATION (SARResponder™ 3)
TESTING CRITERIA
THE SARResponder™ 3 CERTIFICATION is conducted as an online written examination only. It is offered as a part of the SARAware™ Course and serves as the final exam for that class. For candidates graduating from another approved training provider course (e.g., NASAR ISAR, MRA 105-SUPPORT, NPS SRT3, etc.), or those who wish to self-study utilizing the SARAware™ textbook, challenging the AERIE SARResponder™ 3 CERTIFICATION exam, is also available online. The candidate for this certification is required to complete an 80-question combination of multiple-choice subject matter questions, with fill-in-the-blank map & compass navigation problems. The successful candidate will have scored a minimum of 80% overall, with no less than 70% on the navigation problems. In addition to successfully challenging this exam, SARResponder 3 Certification requires proof of the following: CPR (including AED training), Basic 1st Aid, and FEMA IC-100.
